Techcrunch is reporting that eBay is shopping StumbleUpon, a website recommendation service. The blog quotes a source “with knowledge of the sale process” as saying eBay has hired Deutsche Bank to help find a buyer.

WHILE some of eBay Australia’s early millionaire power sellers have moved from the traditional seven day auctions to ‘buy-it-now’, other eBay alumni have given up altogether.

DealsDirect, DinosaurDeals and iSold-it businesses are all examples of local e-tailers made good; others, such as shoe importer Kittenzcatua, are less enthusiastic, saying the system favours the top sellers over the little people.

New Pricing for Fixed Price Listings Takes Effect

Ebay new pricing structure for Fixed Price Listings takes effect. This was announced August 20.

Fixed Price Listings will be for 30-day duration at the new Insertion Fee of 35 cents, and 15 cents in Books, Movies & DVDs, Music, and Video Games. There are also changes in the FVF. Sellers are advised to check here as FVF for certain categories have increased.

Also starting today and through the end of the year, there will be a special promotion of 5¢ Fixed Price Insertion Fees for Books, Music, DVDs & Movies, and Video Games when you list with pre-filled item information.
