PayPal broadens the availability of reduced fees for small online purchases
Online payment service PayPal has made available to merchants a pricing structure that reduces fees on all purchases below $12. The micropayment pricing had previously been available on certain transactions since 2005, PayPal says.

PayPal accounts compromised over 16 months; No response from eBay
Online payment service PayPal has had an exploit on its hands for at least 16 months and counting, and seems to have no resolution for it. A tipster forwarded us screenshots of the fraud, which involves a dummy subscription service to PayPal’s sister company Skype, all part of the eBay corporate family. Using the fake Skype subscription, several small charges are made against a PayPal account, all in the same dollar amount.

Seller Protection covers eligible transactions from buyers in any of the 190 markets where PayPal is accepted—also with no annual coverage limit and for no additional cost.
List of 5,534 Hacked eBay Accounts Discovered
Christopher Boyd, Director of FaceTime Security Labs, a malware research firm, has found a list of hacked eBay logins. The list includes 121 pages and carries 5,534 eBay accounts, including usernames, passwords and mail address, as reported by ecommerceguide on October 15, 2008.
